Concord’s Untold History – It takes a town to move a house
Moving an historic house requires a dream, many meetings with town government agencies, an overwhelming number of permits, and patience.Late this spring, the Caesar Robbins House, an interpretive center and witness house for the self-determination of Concord’s earliest African and Abolitionist residents, will be moved 2.2 miles from 324 Bedford St. closer to its original location, across the street from the North Bridge and Old Manse.
